The story behind BEMOOV children's bikes
It all started in Belgium, in the Namur region, with its bucolic landscapes, green hills and passionate cyclists ...
On a bank of the pretty Mosane valley, we find Fred, who has always loved cycling. He loves it because it makes him want to smile and because he worked in the sector at the start of his career (but especially because it makes him smile).
On the other side, his friend Serge is a great sportsman and a true enthusiast of the bicycle, who after having shone in competition, continues to ride the roads and paths even if it rains, or if it snows wherever it's windy… and also sometimes when the weather is nice - and yes, this is Belgium!
One day, rain or shine (we no longer remember it), Fred and Serge had the idea of teaming up to create the best children's bikes, machines designed specifically for children to learn the joys of two wheels while having fun.
How do you pass on your passion to children if they don't have the right bike?
A few years ago, Fred wanted to buy quality bikes for his children, and he was annoyed that he couldn't find any.
Either the models were of poor quality, closer to a toy than a real bicycle, or they were too heavy and not very ergonomic. Either way, they weren't the right tools for teaching children the joys of two wheels.
Serge had the same experience. He found himself frustrated that he did not have more suitable bikes for his children, in order to pass on his passion to them.
Fred and Serge shared their experience, talked about it with others and realized that many parents had had the same experience.
Hey, Serge ... What if we invented children's bikes that weren't just smaller adult bikes?
For two years, Fred and Serge designed, produced, and tested multiple prototypes with the help of dozens of children and their parents, also relying on the expertise of learning professionals. Their mission was to create machines designed specifically for children to learn the joys of two wheels with pleasure.
The resulting bicycles offer ergonomics that have been fully thought out, taking into account the body shape of children, and where each part has been chosen or developed so that the bike is perfectly suited to them.
They are very light machines, which is an essential point for children. Looking for places to cut excess weight has therefore been a real obsession! These unisex frames provide an intelligent geometry, dynamic and easy to step over with a very low top tube height.

The well considered geometry of the children's bikes designed by our two friends is combined with bright and fun colors. Since all children want to have their own bike, Fred and Serge have even devised a personalized decoration system, which will allow each child to exercise his/her creativity to decorate the bike. This is a revolution compared to standardized bikes which were until now the only option!
The duo also thought about sustainability. BEMOOV bicycles are designed down to the smallest detail so that they can be passed on to other children, in the spirit of the circular economy. It's the opposite of those low-quality children’s bikes that rust in countless garages, basements and gardens before ending up in the landfill ...
Of course, a BEMOOV children's bicycle is more expensive to start with, but it is reusable and will easily be transferred or sold while retaining its value. It's better for the environment ... and better for the wallet!
Fred and Serge are so sure of the sturdiness of their bikes that they will even help parents resell the BEMOOVs that have become too small when the children have grown up, with a great sales site made available to them for free.
